Telarus is investing heavily in its cybersecurity efforts.
Dominique Singer has begun work as the master agent’s vice president of business development for security. Singer, who has more than 13 years of experience in this technology field, will help partners sell solutions like penetration tests, unified threat management and intrusion prevention.
Roger Blohm, Telarus’ executive vice president and leader of the “Specialty Practice” team, said Singer will attract new partners that want to build their security portfolios.
“His ability to understand the client’s needs, to design the perfect solution, and then to help present that solution directly to the client will help our partners look like experts in front of their customers,” Blohm said. “For us, it’s all about making our partners look good and helping them punch ‘outside their weight class,’ and Dominique is the perfect person to do this.”
Cybersecurity is Telarus’ fastest growing technology portfolio segment, according to the company. Singer said Telarus leads its peers in advocating and teaching security to partners. Security joins contact center and mobility as some of the company’s specialty groups.
“Our specialty groups are the key resources that make our sales partners appear bigger, more credible, with an ability to close the big deals. I look forward to heading up this new group and continuing the momentum Telarus has been building with its partners, especially over the past few years,” Singer said. “I also look forward to expanding our cybersecurity software ‘virtual engineering’ tools, to building our security boot camp educational content, and to working with our partners to perfect their pitches so they can get in and consult on security like never before.”
Singer most recently directed CenturyLink’s IT solutions and security unit. He also served as the communications giant’s program director for indirect security sales. He worked in security solutions architecture with Level 3 Communications before CenturyLink acquired the company in 2017.
Scott Forbush, Telarus senior vice president of sales, said channel partners have already interacted with Singer and enjoyed the experience.
“For years, when a CenturyLink sales partner needed assistance with a large cybersecurity deal, they called on Dominique Singer. During the time we’ve worked with Dominique, we were able to see firsthand his ability to educate customers and agents in a way that is rare in this industry. This ability to listen, ask questions, and carefully step customers and sales partners through the design process will be key to Dominique leading our cybersecurity business development efforts,” Forbush said
Singer’s lengthy career includes stints at Terremark, Verizon and Walt Disney. He is based in Denver.
